Evaluation Question 3

Question 3: What have you learned from your audience feedback?

To redeem feedback from a target audience. I filmed some  people within the target audience I had set and allowed them to watch my music video.
As they was watching my music video, I would pause it at difference stages where I felt I could gain the most feedback at them points.

From the feedback I received they stated I included key elements that are usually found in a indie pop music video, and there was some conventions that I went against. These include being in a bright open space and, there was a story of a boy singing about a girl who he is in love with. The music video is visual as it shows many images and shows two individual clips merging together to form one. My target audience said that it is suitable for the target market.

A questionnaire was also given out  to people within my target market and those who were just out of the target market, as I wanted to get the opinion also as they could be the purchasers for the product as they could be buying it for their children or as a present. they questionnaires were for all three of my  media products (Digi pack, music video, and magazine advert).

Overall, from the feedback I gained, I am pleased with my overall product and how my target audience responded to it. A lot of my target audience can relate to the song and visuals which also add to its overall success. Also as  the digipak and magazine advert  are very simular it helps with connecting the two together so its easy for the audience to relate the two pieces with the music video.

I have learnt that it is important to make sure all elements of my music video project must have a strong connection to insure the artist is portrayed in a certain way to my target audience. If a  connection did not exist, the audience may become confused and not understand what type of image the artist is trying to portray.
