risk assessment

What is a risk assessment?

A risk assessment is a systematic process of evaluating the potential risks that may be involved in a projected activity or undertaking. These are very important as it will help you to ensure that if an accident occurs you would have assessed the risk and would try to prevent it as much as you can or reduce the damage.

location 1: Princess Park Manner

The risks I could come across here are there may be broken glass or empty bottle's, so a lot of litter. Also I may come across dog walkers, so their dog could become a risk to myself and my artist. to prevent this I would make sure no filming is to be done near the broke glass and no harmful dogs are near

When filming at princess park manner I came across broke glass and empty glass bottles, we avoided this as we had assessed this before getting there, so we where able to film in an area where there was no risks involved. I and the artist was approached by two dogs whilst filming, but we were able to bond with the dogs, so no harm was done.

Location 2: School Grounds

The risks I could come across here are that the surface could be wet enabling someone to fall over, as there is a combinations of both grass and leaves. Also the surface is at a tilt making this a higher risk as its harder to balance, on uneven ground.

when filming on the school grounds, we came across many problems as it was raining the day before, so the surface area was wet, so we encounter many near falls, fortunately we were able to then film on concrete surface, so our stability was stable.

The music video pitch

The Pitch

My music video will include two males and one female, the male and female are seen as a couple and the other male is singing. In the scenes the singer does not engage with the couple, as he is shown in the background observing their relationship.
The female is a dedicated dancer and she rarely has time to spend with her boyfriend, this causes strain on their relationship. This song really connects with the visual image as its saying you never made time which describes his feelings of her.

Story board

Many shots are of the nature around them, so shots of trees and to country side view.

Music video research

Ed Sheeren- give me love

How do the visually differentiate between verse and chorus?
Most of the action happens when the chorus sets in and in the verses they visually link each scene in with the chorus visuals, so the visuals in the verses lets the audience get an idea how it lead up to that action in the chorus.

How do they use the beat and rhythm in the visual style?
They use fast past editing the beat and rhythm become faster

How do they show case the star(s)?
The main character is shown throughout the video and the camera is always focused on her

How much do the visuals relate to the lyrics?
They relate a lot as the main star is cupid and the song title is give me love so creates that love flow as cupid and love link

What’s the overall concept?
That the star who is playing the cupid role isn’t receiving love herself so she is slowly dying.
