Lip syncing induction

Lip syncing

Definition; (of an actor or singer) move the lips silently in synchronization with a pre-recorded soundtrack.

lip syncing is an important aspect of our music video as, the visuals have to match the audio. You need to be able to see the singer singing in time with the audio placed on top of the music video, without the lip syncing the music video is incomplete.

its an important skill to have as you can apply it to media in many cases as it allows you to pre record and then add sound effects or other peoples voices into the scene, for example if an actor cant do an accent, you can record someone else doing it, and then add it in when editing your work.
It also helps music videos more realistic as the audience will become more engaged as they will think the singer is singing to them.

To help me learn how to lip sync we practiced on a track called 'i wanna know' which had a visual track and a pre recorded audio track, i then linked the two together using final cut express and moved around the visual track to fit in with the pre recorded audio track. I done this by looking at the wave forms and matching them together. I also used markers to identify where specific moments of the audio track came in with the visual track.
